Intakes

The University of Delaware USA offers three intakes — one major and two minor. Admission decisions are released on a rolling basis, meaning the earlier students apply, the sooner they will know if the University could be a part of their future.

 

Note: KC Overseas assists for undergraduate applications only for the University of Delaware.

All Undergraduate programs are offered in both Fall and Spring intakes except BS in Nursing which is available only in the Fall intake.

Cost to Study at University of Delaware

The University of Delaware tuition fees for international students are flexible, with academic-year expenses based on full-time attendance for two semesters. Costs may vary depending on the program, number of courses, and living expenses. F-1 and J-1 students must show proof of financial support for visa purposes, but the amount listed on the I-20 is only an estimate.
  

Payment options include online credit card transactions and international wire transfers. Health insurance is required, with the UD Health Plan billed directly to student accounts, though eligible students may waive this by providing proof of comparable coverage.

Scholarships

The University of Delaware scholarships for international students provide excellent opportunities to support academic journeys. All freshman global applicants are automatically considered for scholarships, with no separate application required. Awards range from $5,000 to $18,000 per year.
 

Additionally, international students can compete for UD's prestigious Distinguished Scholars scholarships, which recognize exceptional talent from around the world. These scholarships can cover tuition, room, and board for four years, provided students maintain a certain score.

Admissions

The University of Delaware acceptance rate is 64%, making it important for international students to meet the admission criteria. Applicants from non-English-speaking countries need to submit valid English Language Proficiency test scores.

Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required in 12th grade for admission 

Submission of SAT or ACT scores is optional. For those who choose to submit the scores:
✅ SAT score needs to be between 1170 and 1350 
✅ The ACT score should fall between 26 and 31.

IELTS: An overall band score of 6.5 is accepted. 
TOEFL iBT: An overall score of 79 or more is required. 
PTE Academic: A minimum score of 53 is accepted. 
Duolingo English Test (DET): An overall score of 105 is accepted.
