Intakes

Worcester Polytechnic Institute follows a structured academic calendar that provides international students with flexibility in choosing their preferred start date. There are two Worcester Polytechnic Institute intakes for international students, each with distinct academic and application timelines.

The Fall intake is the most popular admission cycle at WPI. It offers the broadest selection of Undergraduate and Graduate programs across disciplines, along with greater availability of financial aid, research assistantships, and merit-based scholarships. International students aiming to benefit from comprehensive orientation services, networking events, and a full range of course options can apply for the Fall term.

The Spring intake serves as the secondary admission cycle. While it offers fewer program choices compared to the Fall term, it remains a viable option for Graduate applicants. It is important to note that Undergraduate programs are not offered during the Spring intake.

Cost to Study at Worcester Polytechnic Institute

As a Private Institution, the cost to study at WPI includes tuition fees, housing, meal plans, and other associated academic fees. The estimated annual tuition for international students varies depending on the course and credit load. All admitted international students are required to pay a non-refundable tuition deposit to confirm enrolment. This deposit is credited toward the first semester’s charges.

Scholarships at Worcester Polytechnic Institute

WPI supports talented international students through a range of merit-based and need-sensitive financial awards. Both Undergraduate and Graduate international students are considered for scholarships based on academic excellence, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to innovation.
 

For Undergraduate applicants, WPI Scholarships are awarded automatically at the time of admission. These scholarships are renewable for four years based on academic standing. Admission Requirement

Admission to Worcester Polytechnic Institute is highly selective.
