Admission Requirements

Griffith University uses a comprehensive assessment process for admissions, evaluating applicants based on academic qualifications, English language proficiency, and program-specific criteria. Griffith University admission requirements vary depending on the course and the level of study. Each application is reviewed holistically based on the submitted information and documents.

Griffith University admission requirements for postgraduate courses are bifurcated into 3 sections based on the previous University of study. It includes:

Griffith University accepts IELTS, PTE & TOEFL scores for English language proficiency assessment for postgraduate admissions.

✅For Griffith University IELTS requirement a score of 6.5 overall with no band less than 6 is accepted 

✅For PTE a score of 58 with no band less than 50 is accepted 

✅For TOEFL a score of 79 with no sub-score less than 19 is accepted

FAQ's

Yes, taking a course transfer is possible. However, the student will need to obtain permission from the university provider to change the program. Undergraduate students with transfer approval need to complete an online request for an Internal Transfer. Postgraduate students need to apply for admission into the new program.

It is an official declaration from the sponsor on a specific letterhead mentioning that they will sponsor the student. It includes the sponsoring organisation's name and contact details, student’s name, University’s name (Griffith University), course details, sponsorship details and invoicing contact. It must be signed and dated by an authorised representative of the sponsor.

To accept the Griffith University offer, the student will need to meet all mandatory requirements and submit the documents that are listed on the Conditional Offer Letter. Additionally, a Financial Guarantee Letter from the sponsor will also be needed.

For students completing their program one trimester before the end date of the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) or earlier, the remaining days of their CoE will be cancelled. The Department of Home Affairs and sponsor will be notified of the early completion. The student will have to plan to return home or contact the Department of Home Affairs to discuss the visa options.

If the tuition fee is paid by an external Government or organization, then the student is considered a sponsored student. Griffith University will invoice the sponsor directly for the tuition fees.
