Intakes

DePaul University offers multiple intake options throughout the year for international students. For Graduate programs, application deadlines vary depending on the specific program. International applicants are encouraged to submit their applications at least one month before the standard deadline to ensure timely processing.


For Undergraduate programs, DePaul follows an Early Action deadline and a Regular Notification deadline. After February, applications are reviewed on a space-available basis. To increase the chances of admission and secure a spot in the desired program, international students are advised to apply as early as possible.

These are the Fall, Winter, and Spring intakes, available for both Graduate and Undergraduate programs.

This is the Summer intake, during which all Graduate programs are available.

Cost of Studying at DePaul University

The cost of studying at DePaul University is calculated annually and may vary depending on the program. All students need to pay a comprehensive student services fee and a student insurance fee. Tuition payments are required to be completed at least one month before the program start date. For direct admission, a deposit amount is to be paid to DePaul University.

Scholarships Available

DePaul University offers Graduate Assistantships through the Department of International Studies, which include a tuition waiver for up to six graduate-level courses and a stipend of up to $8,000. Students work 10–15 hours per week on research, academic material development, more. Moreover, DePaul University provides over $57 million in scholarships for both Graduate and Undergraduate Degree levels.
 

These scholarship programs are awarded based on Academic Merit, Leadership, Community Service, or Artistic Talent. Some merit-based scholarships do not require a separate application, offering great support for international students pursuing their education in the US.

Admission Requirement

For Graduate studies at DePaul University, supplementary application materials such as writing samples, personal statements, and letters of recommendation may be required and vary by program. International students should review their specific program requirements carefully. 
 

Undergraduate applicants need to submit official transcripts and secondary school exam results. If these documents are issued in a language other than English, certified English translations are required.
 

Additionally, all students educated outside the United States must provide proof of English Language Proficiency, regardless of their native language or language of instruction. Students from India can check the DePaul University admission requirements here.

Applicants need to hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5 – 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

GRE/GMAT: Both test scores are optional.

✅ PTE: An overall score of 53
