Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), founded in 1838, is a vibrant national urban public research University located in downtown Richmond, Virginia.  Ranked among the top 20% of Universities worldwide, VCU offers an energetic and dynamic learning environment across its two main campuses,  Monroe Park Campus and MCV Campus, situated just a mile apart.
 

Monroe Park Campus hosts most Undergraduate programs, while MCV Campus is home to VCU’s six Health Sciences Schools and its highly regarded medical center. Intakes

Virginia Commonwealth University offers multiple intakes throughout the year, giving international students greater flexibility. For Graduate programs, application deadlines and requirements vary by department, and students can apply directly through the University’s official portal. For Undergraduate studies, international first-year students need to apply through the Common Application, and only one application should be submitted for the desired semester.

Most Graduate and Undergraduate courses are offered in this intake. However, courses related to Creativity, Biochemistry, and Public Health are offered exclusively during this time. At the Undergraduate level, popular programs include Design and Nursing.

Scholarships

Admission Requirement

For admission in USA at VCU, it is important to provide strong academic records. Graduate applicants need to submit a personal statement discussing their reasons for pursuing Graduate study. For Undergraduate courses, VCU reviews applications based on academic performance at an accredited high school or on GED scores. A college preparatory curriculum is highly preferred. Applicants need to hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

GRE/GMAT scores are optional for most programs. However, they are required for medical-related courses such as Anatomy, Laboratory Sciences, Microbiology, and Physics.
