Intakes

Lycoming College provides two structured entry options each academic year for undergraduate students starting in Fall (August) and Spring (January). These intakes in the USA ensure international students can align their academic goals with flexible timelines while still accessing the full range of Undergraduate programs.

The Fall intake is the primary admission cycle at Lycoming College and attracts the largest number of international students. All Undergraduate courses, including majors in Sciences, Arts, Business, Engineering, and the Lycoming Scholars Program, are available during this intake.  

The Spring Intake offers an additional start for students who may require more time for application preparation or wish to begin their studies mid-academic year. Like the Fall session, all Undergraduate courses are available during this intake, ensuring academic continuity and flexibility.

Cost to Study

For international students preparing to study in USA, the cost of studying at Lycoming College is clearly defined and manageable with proper planning. For every academic year, the standard tuition for full-time Undergraduate enrollment is based on 12 to 16 credit hours per semester. In addition to the tuition fees, the cost to study in USA at Lycoming College also includes boarding and residency charges. After acceptance, students must pay the confirmation deposit to confirm their intent to enrol. Full tuition and other fees are usually due several weeks before the semester begins.
 

Payment can be made through Lycoming’s online student portal using ACH bank transfer or credit/debit card. International students may also enrol in the Lycoming College tuition payment plan, dividing payments into monthly instalments.

Scholarships

Lycoming College offers generous merit-based study abroad scholarships in USA exclusively for international Undergraduate students. Collectively, the college offers scholarship programs valued at nearly $36 million each year. These merit-based awards are granted based on academic excellence and require no separate application. All admitted international first-year students are automatically assessed using high school GPA, class rank, and standardized test scores (if submitted).

Admission Requirement

Lycoming College employs a holistic evaluation process for Undergraduate international students, ensuring that each candidate is assessed on multiple dimensions beyond mere test scores. In alignment with the USA College admission process, international applicants must also demonstrate English language proficiency. Applicants need to complete Standard XII (or equivalent) with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.

Submission of SAT or ACT scores is optional. Applicants may choose to apply under Lycoming College’s test-optional policy.

TOEFL iBT: A minimum score of 70 is accepted. 
IELTS: A minimum overall band score of 6.0 is accepted. 
PTE Academic: A minimum score of 50 is accepted. 
Duolingo English Test: A minimum score of 100 is accepted.

More than 85% of Undergraduates live on campus, fostering a tight-knit community life and continual engagement in a residential setting supported by the Office of Residential Life.
 

The campus is alive with student engagement and activities (extra-curricular); more than 60 student clubs and organisations span interests such as service (Habitat for Humanity, UNICEF), governance (Student Senate, Campus Activities Board), academic honor societies, and numerous cultural or religious groups. Campus activities enrich the calendar with annual traditions such as the Candlelight Ceremony, Spring Fling, Homecoming Weekend, Relay for Life, and campus-wide concerts and carnivals offer vibrant cultural experiences and foster community spirit.

The Keiper Recreation Center provides a state-of-the-art fitness gym with cardio theatre, treadmills, rowing machines, and classes like Zumba, Ab Attack, and kickboxing. Intramural sports like volleyball, flag football, indoor soccer, basketball, and club teams are offered year-round for all students, faculty, and staff. Students also benefit from the interdisciplinary Warrior Coffee Project, which connects campus dining with social entrepreneurship in the Dominican Republic.

Student accommodation in USA at Lycoming includes eight residence halls and College-owned apartments. All halls feature secure card access, wired and wireless internet, laundry facilities, lounges, and often kitchenettes.
